The former Granite Run Mall is being revitalized through a selective demolition and reconstruction process into an open-air, mixed use retail development.  The zoning for the property was revised to facilitate the outward transformation of this early 1970’s mall into a pedestrian-friendly development that retains four major anchor tenants while constructing roughly 300,000 square feet of new retail space to host roughly 30 new tenants to the property including fashion, services, entertainment and restaurants.  As a re-development project, the design was required to implement new storm water management technologies to improve water quality along with many other features to bring the property up to modern expectations for retail development.  Demolition is expected to be complete by June 2016 with retailers opening new stores late 2017.
